Step 3: Address Data Breaches

Look for accounts that might have been compromised.

Updated over 7 months ago

Yorba monitors the web for data breaches that might have compromised your online accounts or personal information.

You can visit the Data Breaches section to see if your accounts have been compromised.

We recommend changing the passwords immediately to secure the accounts you still use. Consider deleting accounts that you no longer need. After taking the necessary actions, mark the breach as resolved in Yorba.

What happens with older data breaches?

On your initial scan, you might see breaches dating back multiple years; if you’ve updated your password since the breach, you should be fine and can go ahead and mark the breach as resolved.

If you have doubts about whether you’ve updated your password since the breach, we recommend you go into the platform and update it anyway. After all, it is not just your bank account credentials that should be updated once every 90 days!

If any breaches occur in the future, Yorba will keep monitoring, and you’ll get notified as soon as possible.
