Step 4: Delete unnecessary accounts

Reduces the risk of your personal data getting leaked.

Updated over 6 months ago

What do I do once my results have been imported to the Account Manager?

It's time to regain control of your personal data by removing unnecessary accounts. In the Account Manager section, click on the logins tab to access the full list of all the accounts Yorba has inferred based on your inbox scan. We recommend that you go over the list, cut ties, and delete any accounts you don’t need or are not using anymore.

This step reduces the risk of your personal data being sold to data brokers or getting leaked in a data breach.

Yorba’s step-by-step deletion instructions

Yorba is actively compiling a directory with step-by-step deletion instructions, currently standing at over 10,000 of the internet’s most popular online accounts. In the Account Manager section, you can access the instructions from our account deletion directory by visiting the logins tab, where you’ll find instructions on how to delete imported accounts.

We know looking at a list of your online accounts can feel like a lot, so we recommend starting small. Every Yorba account is set by default for a monthly goal of 5 actions (unsubscribing from mailing lists or deleting accounts). We recommend starting there, and in no time, you will notice how your digital life starts to declutter, and your inbox returns to a manageable size.
