FAQs: Payment method scan
FAQs: Payment method scan
Updated over a month ago

Why do I see duplicate or inaccurate results?

  • Similar to the inbox scan, the paid accounts results are not always 100% accurate, and you might have to do some pruning. Once your results are in, we recommend looking for unrecognized charges or duplicate subscriptions and dismissing them from the results list or removing them once you’ve imported your paid accounts into the Accounts section.

In what countries is the payment scan available?

  • Yorba's payment scan works for the top US, Canada, and EU-based financial institutions. See the full list of the countries here.

My bank is in the countries listed, but it's not available. Will it be added?

  • To securely connect with your bank and review your recurring subscriptions, we use Plaid. Here you can find their roadmap and what banks will be added next.

Can Yorba access my account balances and activities?

  • No, we never learn or store your actual credit card or bank account numbers – only the names and types of accounts (so we can differentiate one from another).

  • When you initiate a search for paid accounts, you authorize Yorba to connect to Plaid (a data transfer network used by thousands of banks, apps, and fintech services like Venmo, Expensify, Betterment, Sofi, and Acorns), who will, in turn, mediate a connection to your bank(s). This allows Yorba to view only the information we need to find your accounts and nothing else.
