FAQs: Payment method scan
FAQs: Payment method scan

Why do I see duplicate or inaccurate results?

  • Similar to the inbox scan, the paid accounts results are not always 100% accurate, and you might have to do some pruning. Once your results are in, we recommend looking for unrecognized charges or duplicate subscriptions and dismissing them from the results list or removing them once you’ve imported your paid accounts into the Accounts section.

Can I run this scan for non-US-based financial institutions?

  • No, right now, you can only run a scan for a US-based financial institution.

  • We’re working hard to add non-US-based banks to our roadmap later this year. If you have a non-US-based bank card you use to pay for subscriptions, join Yorba, and then send us an email so we can prioritize your bank!

Can Yorba access my account balances and activities?

  • No, we never learn or store your actual credit card or bank account numbers – only the names and types of accounts (so we can differentiate one from another).

  • When you initiate a search for paid accounts, you authorize Yorba to connect to Plaid (a data transfer network used by thousands of banks, apps, and fintech services like Venmo, Expensify, Betterment, Sofi, and Acorns), who will, in turn, mediate a connection to your bank(s). This allows Yorba to view *only* the information we need to find your accounts and nothing else.
