Updated over 6 months ago

Why did my scan return so few results?

  • Make sure you are scanning a Gmail-based inbox. If you connect a non-Gmail inbox, Yorba can only perform a public web search, which will only find accounts that have been made public due to their involvement in a data breach.

Can I scan a non-Gmail inbox?

  • You can connect non-Gmail inboxes to Yorba and get results from our public web search, but the number of results will be limited.

  • Currently, Yorba’s email scan only works with Gmail-based inboxes, but we are working hard to make Yorba able to run inbox scans on Yahoo, Outlook, Hotmail, Apple, and more throughout 2024.

Can I scan an old email address I can’t access?

  • To safeguard everyone’s privacy and security online, Yorba can only scan email inboxes you can access and verify as yours.

Will Yorba be able to scan inboxes from other email providers soon?

  • Yes, we are working hard to make Yorba able to connect to Yahoo, Outlook, Hotmail, Apple, and more over the course of 2024.

  • If you want to import accounts from other email providers right now, you can always import your accounts from your browser or password manager.

Can I connect multiple email addresses?

  • Yes, you can connect as many email addresses as you want as long as you can verify them.

  • Keep in mind that scans to non-Gmail addresses will yield fewer results, as Yorba can currently only perform a public web search on these addresses.
